A Million Years From Now

Mount Adams is a mountain range in the state of Washington that formed because of a crack in the earth. The crack allowed magma to seep through and over time it was built up forming the mountain range. Magma is still coming out of the earth of forming the mountain range more and more over time. I believe that if magma was to stop building up the mountain range that erosion and weathering would affect the mountains over many millions of years creating cliffs and steeper slopes on the side of the mountains.

How The Earth Was Created

Different people have different beliefs about how the earth was created or formed. I believe that God created the earth. Some people believe God created a big explosion to create the earth, but I believe that he first created light, without an explosion, and from there he formed the rest of the earth just the way he wanted it. One reason for how I can back my belief up is that if you just look outside, at all the trees and the sky and everything around you, there is no way everything around you was created on accident or in a big explosion.

What Really Happens In A Chemical Reaction?

In a chemical reaction an object changes chemically and cannot be changed back to the original substance. You can tell if a chemical change is occurring when the following happens: change in odor, change in color, gives off smoke, change of state, or when bubbles form. For a chemical reaction to happen you have to have two or more chemicals that react with each other.

Why Lab Safety is Important

It is important to have lab safety when you are working by yourself, in a group, and around other people. Wearing protection gear is very important when necessary. When dealing with something hot always be sure to wear gloves and when using a chemical that can hurt your eyes goggles should be worn at all time when you are in the lab. Also when using a chemical or anything that can leave stains be sure to wear an apron or something that protects your clothes. Some chemicals are very dangerous to the body, therefore when using them always do the right thing and never taste, touch, or smell the chemical unless the teacher instructs you to. Always be sure you know what chemical you are using and if you need to wear any protection to be safe and not get physically hurt. Also, when using a chemical always be aware of your surroundings. Being aware of your surroundings means that you know were everything is in case of fire or accident. You also need to know were other groups are so you do not have an accident and hurt another person and be respectful of their space and their chemicals also. Always listen to the teacher and if you have a question about a chemical or what to do always ask the teacher or a classmate that knows what he/she is supposed to be doing. All of these things are important to remember when in the lab working.

A Life Lesson I’ll Never Forget

In my life I have learned a lot about which way is the right way and which is the wrong way. Usually I’m reminded over and over about them too. I have had a lot of life lessons about honesty, respect, and a lot of other things.

One year my family took a vacation to Disney World. We were having a lot of fun going to different parks and spending time with each other. While we were at one of the parks we came across a store that my sister wanted to go in.

It was a very nice store with all kinds of souvenirs and toys of the Disney characters. Even though it was nice it was small so my parents let me roam around by my self. I was looking at some snow globes that sung a song when you whined the knob. I wanted one so I was going to show my mom to ask her if I could get it. While I was walking to her, the snow globe slipped out of my hand and busted right by my feet. I thought the worker was going to make us pay for it, but she just asked if I was alright and then she started cleaning up the mess that I made!

Even though I had broken a snow globe that cost 20 dollars, I had leaned a life lesson that day. That life lesson was not to mess with anything that is not yours. You have probably experienced this lesson in your own way.

My Treasured Sense

Everyone with the ability to use their sense of sight uses it every day. The sense of sight is the sense I don’t want to lose the most. I use my sense of sight to do most of anything I do. I use it to play sports, I use it to pick out a good gift, and I even use it when I’m meeting someone.

With out this sense I wouldn’t be able to go any where with out help, and I even wouldn’t be able to drive when I got older. The sense of sight is like my best friend and without it I would feel lost. If I lost my sight I would feel as if the gift of sight from God was taken away. Without sight I would feel like I was in a cave that was pitch black.

I treasure all five of my senses, but the sense of sight is the most important to me.

A Friend I’ll Never Forget

my heart

feels broken

as I look

at my friend

while he lies

there not moving

I miss

watching him run

around

I miss

having to feed him

everyday

I miss

his glowing eyes

peering at me

I miss

his yellow, scaly skin

and smooth, white belly

rubbing against my arm

He was very special to me

He was my pet gecko

A Exclent New Years

It was a wednesday afternoon when I heard the door bell ring. My mom opened the door and the bagley’s walked in with the rock band set. We were hooking up rock band the door bell rang again I opened the door and the rest of the families piled in. Everyone was doing there own thing getting ready for the year. We played on rock band for a while, and then we played a game called Farkle. It lasted a while until Mrs. Percel won with an amazing score of  11,750! That was the last activity of the night and everyone headed home. That was definitely a memorable time I had with my family and friends.
