Digital Citizenship

The quiz that we took today opened my eyes on some of the facts about digital media. I was really surprised that 85 percent of children has been taught internet safety by there parents becuase I was not taught fully by mine. I by far use my phone the most and usually to text so I can stay in touch with my friends. One upside is that I  can contact my friends anytime. A down side would be that I become lazy when using digital media. I feel like most of society today has the same problems I do and it also benefits them in the same way as well. Overall, digital media has its ups and downs in effecting life as we know it today and will continue to grow, but safety always should come first in everything. Your digital footprint is everything that can be found online about you. To have a positive digital footprint you have to be extremly careful about what you post and what other people post about you. This is important becuase many colleges and jobs have people that look at your digital footprint to see if you are worthy of being accepted. Digital media is sadly used to bully others. Cyberbulling accurs usually when one person has an insurcuity about thier own life so they hurt and judge others to make themself feel better inside. It is linear to talking to someone behind there back in a way becuase they are not hearing what your saying directly from you, but instead the two people are more then likely separated by miles.

First Week of Sophomore Year

This first week has gone by so slowly I feel like its been a month already. Compared to last year, my schedule is so much easier… for now. Being in advanced classes, I know it’s going to get much harder as the year continues. In most of my classes all we have done all week is get things set up for the school year and take universal screeners to see where we need to improve the most. BORING!!!! But I know this school year is going to teach me a lot and I’m excited about what’s to come.

Why Dissections Are Importantant In Classrooms

Dissections important in schools for many reasons. They are good for taking a break from other material and doing something fun and educational at the same time. They are important because they teach the students parts of the body and where the parts are of different animals. They teach you how to work with others and plan what each person will do if you are in a group. Dissections are also a very good hands-on lesson.

Science Spring Semester Project

In our science semester project we dropped different objects on one side of a catapult and launched a tennis ball to see how far it went. We recorded the data and looked for a pattern. I learned there is no pattern when comparing the weight of the object dropped and how far the tennis ball is launched. I liked that we got to do the experiment outside. I wish I knew more about what the results would have been if we would have had a higher quality catapult.
